Hello,
It has been a while since I last dealt with access so I expect this will have a quite simple answer.
The system is in 2K and I have a databound continuous subform. The subform has a combo box which lists our products (we only have about nine). The combo box is based on a select query, which selects all the products that are yet to be selected or added to the order. The query works because if I close the form and open it the combo box displays the right data, but I cannot get the combo box or subform to requery/recalc/refresh on any event. Sometimes I get an error saying that access has had a problem communicating with the OLE server or active x control.

Anybody have any ideas?

Cheers

If you have NortonAntiVirus, try to disable the ScriptBlocking feature.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Cheers, but we dont have norton, and the anti virus is set by the techs so we cannot change it. Any other ideas or work arounds?

Try to compact/repair your database.

maybe what you can try is...put a command button (for requery/recalc/update) inside the form header/footer.

Thank you for your posts but the button causes the same error and compact and repair did not remove it.
Cheers
