Hi All,
I have a combo box on a form used to control a subform. I want the data in the combo box to be un-editable (is that a word?). Anyway, This works fine it controls the subform perfectly, but it allows the combo box data to be edited. When I turn editing off, it wont allow the combo box to change.

I have started writing a small macro that compares the value typed into the box with the values that are in the table the combox is based on.

I am a novice at VB on access to say the least and would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
James

You are possibly experimenting with the wrong property, try the following;

If you wan't to make the combobox to be un-editable - limit the possibility to edit the data, there is a property called "Limit to list" or "Only from list" (sorry, I'm using non-english version).

Select properties for the combobox, goto the "Data"-tab and you'll find it there, set the property to "yes"
