Hi there - happy new year!

I have 2 servers (identical) Both have IBM Serveraid, and have 4 hdd's configured for RAID5. The 4th disk was installed last, and added in Serveraid as an additional logical drive. What I was wondering was can I "combine" the new logical drive, and the original logical drive into one so that I have 2 partitions(one system and one data) instead of 3 (1 system, 2 data) - without reinstalling the server?

Is there another way?

Cheers,
Brett

If the first 3 physical drives are configured as 1 disk with hardware RAID (it seems like 1 disk for Windows) and new drive as 1 separate disk, it is possible to make stripe set with windows 2000 disk management. But in your case its impossible because boot partition (partition with Windows system files) you cannot place on software stripe set. Instead you can enable dynamic disks and create volume mount point for this new disk in some folder on existing disk. Remember - it will be not fault redunant system!
