Combining Emails

Has anyone had the following happen?

Sometimes my emails are combined together. For instance yesterday I had a notification email from a website forum I am a member of and one from Genes Connected merged together into one email. Yesterday there was also an email with nothing whatsoever in it (no to: from: subject: data). This is the first time it's happened.

If I check my emails online they are separate. Once they come into my email program they are merged. (Not all of them, only one or two over the last month). This seems to happen since the recent big update to AVG program. It has occurred in both Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird. In fact I changed to Mozilla because it first occurred in Outlook and I thought it was that doing it.

I am using XP Home SP2 and the latest AVG. I have a Netgear Router with firewall enabled. I took ZoneAlarm off recently. I use the microsoft spyware thingy too (can't remember the correct name, sorry).

I think you posted to the wrong forum. You might try the email forum605 or the XP forum779.

No... he is clearly asking if this is an AVG issue.. since AVG is an email proxy.

Yes I believe it is an AVG problem (I'm a she by the way. LOL)

I sometimes see the notification that an email is being scanned on it's way in but it never appears. I don't know where it goes!
