collision between HDs ?!?!?!?

All time that I have that to copy a great amount of archives of a HD for another one, appears things as 13507563 minutes remaining. What is and as I make to fix it?

Just a thought, are the HDD's on the same IDE port. If so, try them on seperate ones and see if that makes it any better.

If its a lot of GB, sounds like M$'s usual attempt at 'estimating' time remaining!

Does it actually finish the copy?
 
This will happen anytime you copy large amounts of data.
Like in the gigabyte range. It's just windows getting confused. I copied 4 gigs to another drive and after a few minutes the time remaining went up to over 5 million minutes! Actual copy took about 2 hours. There is no "fix" that I know of...
