Cold Fusion Newbie - Where to begin?

Hello techie masters,

I've been building web sites for five years and using some database programs written in perl. I'd really like to get into Cold Fusion but I'm not sure where to begin.

My problem with new areas is in the very beginning. 99% of the books I buy start someplace in the middle, assuming too much prior knowledge.

Can anyone offer me a good starting point?

The documentation that comes with ColdFusion is very good. I suggest you download ColdFusion Studio trial and try it out, this teaches you as you go because of it's context help.
Right click and insert tags and functions, each with it's own help and editor.
A complete online manual is built in too.
You should also buy Ben Forta books, they are good.
