Hello,

i'd like some of your opinions on how cold fusion will do in the future. Do you think cold fusion will be used a lot for developing dynamic web pages? Or will for example ASP be used more often... By this i mean, will it be used more often in professional business. Which way is the market going? If you have anything to say about this or if you can tell me why i should use cold fusion instead of ASP or the other way around, then please tell me...

Regards Wouter

As far as I can tell, use of CF is growing by leaps and bounds. Just check any employment site, like or and you'll see a LOT of CF jobs available. And with going salaries of $70,000 and higher, the demand for us CF programmers has got to be there....

The biggest reason to use ColdFusion over ASP is rapid deployment of you projects. The average CF programmer can put out a project 2-3 times faster than an ASP programmer can. Also, CF is much more capable than ASP, and anything you can't do with ColdFusion, you can write custom tags for in C++, Delphi, or Java.

Hope this helps....
