Code optimization

Well, I typed in my first Tek-Tips FAQ today, at it's the Perl audience that gets it. This FAQ is a little ditty on code optimization. While the subject that I tackle (old style cryptography) may be a bit esoteric, the contents may be of some use. If the response to this FAQ is positive, I will gladly post more tips to boost and test the performance of your scripts among other things.

Is it possible to have a link to where this FAQ is???

i had a look through your user profile but the link for the FAQ didn't want to send me to where the actual FAQ was, just told me how to link to it...

Actually, if you look up above the message list, you'll see several filetabs, one of which will be labeled FAQs. There are several good items in here, so be sure to check them all out. The link to mine is faq219-751.
