Can this be done?
I have configured a primary nameserver such that every
hostname is its own domain. i.e.. xyz.tivoli.aaa.com
I have done this to bypass our corporate (MS) DNS which is fubar. I resolve 1500 hostnames and 4000 addresses this way. Each zone file contains a single A record or PTR record. If it is not found in my DNS, it is forwarded to corporate DNS. It works great!
I would like to be able to resolve xyz without fully qualifying it. Is this possible with my non-stndard implementation?
