CMS XL Vs DX tapes on CMS R3V5

Hello all,

Does anyone know if I can swap an external 8mm XL tape drive for an external 8mm DX tape drive and still use Exabyte XL tapes?

Found out the difference if anyone comes across this in the future. The difference is the speed at which it writes to the tapes. The XL is faster than the DX both work however speed varies.
