CMS v12 Password Question 1

Is there a way to change a CMS Supervisors password within CMS Supervisor App or the Teminal Emulator? I can log in as root on the v9 and use the passwd command but on R12 I can't login as root, disconnects me everytime. However I can log in with my ID to create users but I would like to know if you can set password from with the term emulator or app due to being disconnected.

With V12 CMS you can't log in as root via telnet. You have to log in with a legitimate user ID and then 'su' to root. After you enter the root password you will have full admin rights on the CMS.

Is this just for v12 cause I can certainly do it for v11.
If you telnet to port 23 it's not difference it the same as TE. If it lets you login in as anything it should allow root too.

V12 only. With previous versions you could log in as root through telnet.

If I log in with a legitimate user name it pulls up teh menu options. How would I enter the su command to change a password?
