CMS R16.3 external USB HDD backup

I would be interested in this as an alternative as well. Being the only supported backup solution is the Avaya tape backup and, the unsupported but documented USB flash drive and network backups, this is inevitably the biggest discussion we have every time a CMS is installed - "can we use a USB hard drive?
