CMS LAN Backup

Hi,

I was wondering what you guys use for backups. We have HA CMS but according to Avaya LAN backups aren't supported.

DAT tapes are the only method I've ever used. I'm not sure of any other method. I recommend a rotation strategy for your tapes as well.

The only lan backup method that I know to be supported (this was a year ago that I checked into it) was using a software called tivoli.

We do have a customer that is using this type of backup, they have a very large system with lots of Tivoli experts. We called Avaya when we were in the process of trying to figure this type of backup and they do not support it so we got zero assistance, a matter of fact tier 3 told me to call IBM because Tivoli is a IBM application, but with a Tivoli person from the customer side they were able to get it backing up.
