Hello,

I have a strange problem with the CMS scripting. I made three cvsauto reports and they were run by three daily programmed tasks. They run a report and export the datain a file.

They work correctly but in a few days they stop working. When they work in the task manager I can see they launch three applications, cvsApp, cvsServer y finally Report Engine. But when they don't work "Report Engine" is not launched.

Has someone had the same problem?

Thank you very much.

I was doing a similar thing with similar result. I don't know what causes the problem but it seemed tied to having CMS Supervisor open on the same PC. I resolved it by having the autotasks on a PC that didn't typically run CMS Supervisor.

I have just recently begun initiating report execution via a Visual Basic program. Easier to programmatically control input parameters and output locations. I like to collect call data/agent trace information hourly.

Thank you,

I have an opened ticket in Avaya, because the pc didn't tipically run CMS Supervisor. It seems a Supervisor software cache problem, but who knows??
If you want, I can send more information, when I have it.
Marta

What version of CMS Supervisor do you run, and on what OS?
I use to have these problems when I ran CMS Supervisor 8 on an Windows 2000 workstation. Sometimes one of the processes would get stuck. I seem to recall not having this problem on NT4 workstations.

Since upgrading to CMS Supervisor 11, I've not had this problem.
