Clipper 5.2d and Windows ME

Problem with large Clipper programs on Windows ME platform.
Command SET CLIPPER=F:nn in environment (autoexec.bat) doesn't work. Only about 30 file handles is accessible.
Solutions? [sig][/sig]

Davin (programmer) answered this question some days ago. Windows ME no longer processes the config.sys.

You must add the following line in the SYSTEM.INI file:

PerVMFiles = X (the files you want), under the [386enh] section.
[sig][/sig]

In addition to the file handle problem this is also a problem with low memory when using clipper 5.2x applications unders Windows ME. Anyone have a solution to this since we can no longer use config.sys to set expanded memory.
