We have our DHCP server setup to issue IP, Gate etc.. to all of our win 9x/2K/XP workstations using the following IP 192.168.1.50 ->> 100. About 2 years ago we connected another LAN with it's own server, DHCP etc to connect and get access to our AS/400 through a switch. This was to allow 3 PC's with a Dual Boot OS with a second NIC card with Static IP's (192.168.1.30 ->> 32) get access. Their LAN IP use is 125.x.x.x sub 255.255.255.0. We never had a problem until about 2 weeks ago we started to get user's workstations with their IP. Not all workstations are getting their IP info just a few.
It was thought that because the 2 DHCP servers had separate network ID's that the clients from either side would not pickup any IP's from each others DHCP server. My first thought was someone on the other side created an authorized scope with our network ID that created a rogue DHCP server. But it is being debated.
Can someone maybe clearup any misconceptions we apparently are having?
Thanks
