Having recently "upgraded" from Delphi6 Enterprice (Educational) to Delphi7 Professional I'm faced with an inexplicable problem with TClientDataSet. All my DBE and Advantage DB based programs transferred without any problems but those with ClientDataSets resolutely all refuse to work. In fact I'm unable to get even the simplest testapplication with a CDS to to work. "Variant or SafeArray Locked" is the error I get when I try to load a datafile. And the same applications still work Ok under Delphi6, which I have kept installed on the same machine.
Has anyone seen this problem an/or has anyone got some suggestions on how to solve this problem? It is a real show-stopper for me!
