Client/Server on Linux

I am currently looking for a new accounting software, and was wondering if anyone had any info on installing the server on a linux server, and the clients on Windows machines. We currently have Microsoft Dynamics, and we are running into compatibility issues with linux server. Just wondering if I would run into similar problems.
And if so, does anyone know of any good accounting software that will work with windows clients and linux server.
