Hi Everyone, I've just set up a test domain and my client machines just cannot log into the domain after joining it. It says that there's some time difference between the client PC and the DC. Checked MS Knowledge Base but cannot find much help. Can you please help me? Thx.

Have you checked to make sure your clients are setup to use DNS properly.

Hi MicroGeek,

Yes, they are pointing to the domain controller, which also functions as a DHCP/DNS.

What type of clients?

What OS? Win2k or Win9x ?

log in as local admin and resynch the time to your DC using the NET TIME command.

Something to check:
clients have to be able to ping the dc with the fqdn. make sure you get a ping from the netbios too. IE ping computername and then ping computernam.domainname.com/net/org/whatever if either of these fail, then you have a DNS/WINS or netbios problem. if they both work it may be a setting in your GPO.
