Client Login Popup.....User Name and Domain blank

Excuse this newbie question.

But for I have exchange users that do not log into our NT domain but instead map whatever domain drives they require as they need them.

When these clients log into exchange, the 'User Name' and 'Domain Name' fields are blank. Does any know of a way to set these clients up so they only have to enter their PASSWORD (ie. not the username and domain each time)?

The question obviously (now) didn't have to do with exchange, but rather, Outlook. If you care to know what the fix was, here it is:

How do I get Outlook to remember the username/domain each time I start Outlook?

1) Go to Tools -> Options... and choose the Mail Services tab.
At the Always use this profile: option, click on the Prompt for a profile to be used and then re-choose the Always use this profile: option by clicking on it. For the pull-down menu, re-select the current profile (doesn't matter what it is).

2) Click on Apply, then OK.

3) Close and restart Outlook. You will be asked once more for username, domain, and password.

Next time Outlook is restarted, the username and domain name should be filled in. Sounds like a trivial fix but it has worked on all Win95/98/NT machines to date. It probably has something to do with the windows registry needing to "re-recognize" and fill in the actual entries for the current profile's login info.

As macduff98 mention, this is a Outlook issue.

1. Start MS Outlook
2. Choose Tools/Services
3. Select properties for MS Exchange Server
4. Choose the Advanced tab
5. There you have the option "Logon Network Security"

If you want MS Outlook to use the currently logged on user on the Windows Network, select "NT Password Authentication"
