When I use Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_ADDR") I dont get the IP address of the client but my won local IP.

Do I need to configure the IIS Server or what???

Actually I am creating a site where I want to know (for security reasons) from which IP Address a user has logged in .

Please suggest.

If you access a webserver on your network then you will see your local IP as the remote address.

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

Chris,

I cant totally understand what u suggested. Can u please explain ??

If I try to access the page from anywhere (outside our LAN) i still get the same local IP.

Please suggest.

Do you have a proxy server that all connections are coming through? The only thing i can think of is that you either have a proxy server or firewall locally that is fsacing the wrong way. Traffic would get rebranded with a local address on it's way in (if they are backwards) and always report a local address. Thats about the only possibility I can think of...
