Client Drive Security 1

Hello,

Have seen other threads (thread48-457039) regarding this but was hoping for a definate answer rather than an answer to a how to question.....

If 'No Access' has been selected, is there any way for a Citrix Admin to access the client drives (local or mapped)?
Once 'No Access' has been selected and written to the webica.ini, is there any way for this to be reset by the client?

To put you in the picture, we are going to be using a third party's application via Nfuse and therefore need to be comfortable that by selecting the 'No Access' security setting, there is no way for our drives to be accessed by the Citrix administrator, or reset by our users, etc....

Any info would be appreciated..

Hi,

"No Access" means "No Access"!

There is no way of accessing your drives that I know of! Even by mapping a drive using "\\Client\c$".

Yes, they can reset it. With the PN client there is a security option you can set, and ifthte user deletes the webica.ini, the server wil ask the question about the security again.

If you want to enforce no client mappings at all times, just add the following entry to your template.ica if you use FNuse, or WI:

CDMAllowed=Off
