Dear colleuges,

The question is" How do I clear The Search for files and folder Box that has previous entries in it", which is clogging the box.

What I have recently done is gone to the (TOOLS) drop down menu in internet explorer, then (INTERNET OPTIONS), then (CONTENTS), then (AUTOCOMPLETE).In (AUTOCOMPLETE) I then unchecked (WEB ADDRESS) and (FORMS). I then went back to the (Search for files or folders)box, and typed in an entry in the box. It seemed to have clear up the box. Then just to make sure I then went back into (AUTOCOMPLETE) and Ticked the (WEB ADDRESS) and (FORMS) boxes in autocomplete. I then tried searching in the Find Files and Folders box and the previous entries had gone. Now am I right in thinking that those previous entries in the Search for Files and Folders box are gone forever.

I would like to hear your response.

Many thanks........

Click The start button, go to settings/ TaskBar and Start menu. Them select the Start menu tab and click on the "Clear" button. It will remove all of that for you. If it is in the IE address bar then go to options and clear "Cookies", "Temp Internet Files" and History.
