Hi:
Is there any way to quickly delete the entire contents of the outgoing message queue? There doesn't appear to be a way to "select all" My server appears to be the victim of an attack and my outgoing is filled beyond belief. this is Exchange 5.5 sp4. Thanks

On your exchange server in the IMCDATA directory depending on where this is e.g. C:\Exchsrvr\IMCDATA there is a sub -directory called 'OUT'. If you delete all the files in this directory (They have wierd looking names) then this will remove all the messages from the Outgoing Message Queue.

Hope this helps

Hi

Make sure your server is not setup to relay. If it is close it ASAP.

They will chew up all your bandwith with spam.. Hope this Helps

Thanks for the suggestions, I am back in business.

What are the chances not to have an IMCDATA Directory and have the queues filled up because of a virus on a workstation? I have this case and cannot find a way to clear my queues... PLEASE HELP

Thanks very much

The chances are slim to none I'd say. Much more likely it's in a different location, try a system search for an IMCDATA folder.
