the biggest problem is that E/// charges a lot of money for erasing the NIU. We must prepare many systems in labo before we install them at the customer, for this purpose we have a few NIU/NIU2's. the point is that E/// doesn't really give a solution for this situation. that's why i hacked the NIU and now we can clear it ourselves (including NIU2). I won't tell how I do this, because I feel that E/// has to deal with this problem.
Anyone who has a bit of understanding about the Motorola coldfire cpu and how the firmware is built (S3 records) can hack the NIU...
