Clear predefined text in textbox c#

I have a text box with a predefined text in it I want to clear the text box on focus. I dont know how to proceed. The program is in C#

you need to use javascript on the client (this has nothing to do with the server code). register an onfocus attribute to the textbox with a javascript function like this.Value = '';
