Hello all,

I have a spyware removal program called ad-aware, and whenever I run it after starting internet explorer I see that I have spyware called orbitexplorer. My question is: how do I remove this tracking software from my computer?
The path name is:
clsid\{0fda4D2B-7975-405D-8D7C-F5e2247EAE80}

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

Sounds like something is being left behind. Try uninstalling ad-aware, then try spybot. Update it, then scan. You can always reinstall ad-aware later, but I prefer spybot.

Definitely do SpyBot S&D..
Also get the "latest" version of Adaware as it had gone quite a while with no support/updates..
View this also...

If all this fails (which it shouldn't)...D/l and run CWS and HijackThis!

These are just "my" thoughts....and should be carefully measured against other opinions.
Backup All Important Data/Docs..All involved shall be spared the grief.

Export the registry to the desktop.
Find the key you mentioned in the registry and delete it.
Exit Regedit.
If you encounter a problem and want to go back later, just double click on the exported reg file icon on the desk top and the old registry will be restored.
If XP or 2K is your OS then log off/on after each registry change. If 9x then perform a soft reboot. Choose "restart" and hold the left shift key and click OK. This reloads just win and doesnt go all the way back to POST.
