What can I use to clean dust off of a cd-rw? I can not just blow it off. I would also like to be able to use something that I can find in my house.

try a cd wipe. available from most PC stores or music stores.

anything around the house is not reccomended.

Just a damp, soft cloth is fine, warm water and a mild detergent also ok. No abrasives or strong solvents. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

you should wipe from the inside to the outside to damage the least amount.. lint free cloths only and as the man says no, or mild detergent, and warm, not hot water... js error; 67 on line; 36 of signature.class
