I made a new COS specifically for our Legal Dept so they wont share the same restrictions as everyone else. There were already 4 diff preset ones here. So when I made this 5th one, it doesnt show up for selection when I goto User Administration.

And even when I deleted one of the preset ones (the GUEST one nobody is using), I see that its gone, but still my new COS is not showing up so I can change them over.

Am I missing something? Thanks.

What are you talking about COS? What kind of Restriction?
A little more info please.

Are you doing this in the switch or OTM or something else.

In addition to creating the COS, you must add it to the list of available COSs:
From the Main Menu > 2.General Admin > 1. General Options and scroll down to Class Of Service selection and enter your new class number at the end of the list COSs already there.

Mine is MerMail 13, don't know if your 10 will be the same. I am assuming you mean voice mail COS because you didn't say NCOS and you did say "User ADministration" - both of which say "MerMail" to me.

Once you've doen the above, then you can go back into User Admin and you will see your newly created COS.

Lee, you are correct, Mail 10 is also:
General Administration ? General Options

I also commend SteveLord for using Class of Service rather than "Custom" (Custom or 'No Class of Service' boxes can be searched in the "Find" screen using Class "0")

Remember never to give anyone "Administrator" capabilitiy, or they may stumble into recording something in System Greeting which will be added in front of every mailbox greeting.

When I started my current job, everyone just accepted the half second "exhale" sound heard hundreds of times each day for three years.... It was the exhale of a telecom admin who had more capabilities than they were capable of understanding.

Thank you Lee!

This is exactly what I wanted!
