Just wondering if anyone knows about wyse terminals 3125se

i am getting a problem where on the wyse terminals i get try to reconnect to the citrix servers cannot be a network problem because i can ping the wyse terminal. What i am suspecting is that it could be the TSCAL that are assigned to the MAC address on the wysde unit. Is there anyway if anyone knows how to release the TSCAL from the mac address on a wyse terminal.

I have experienced this exact problem and you are correct, the terminal is not releasing expired TSCALs. The only fix I found was a firmware upgrade to the Wyse client. Depending on the ROM capacity of your client, you may only be able to upgrade the firmware once so be careful. Give Wyse a call. They are normally quite helpful

one thing i am going to do is make sure that the server has Service Pack 3 on there there is one issue with licenses which gets fixed when you install service pack 3. That is a client can hold onto multiple TSCALS with SP3 1 client will only hold onto 1 TSCAL.

Good idea. FYI What actually is fixed is the tendency for one-time-use clients to waste valid TSCALS. With the SP3 update, first time connections receive a temporary TSCAL and only after repeated visits do they get upgraded to a permanent TSCAL. The Permanents are good for 89 days before a renewal.

I still believe SP3 to be a great first step.
Let me know what happens - GOOD LUCK!
