Hi,
had great help last time so I'm trying again, I have crystal reports and other database reports that my user like to query and run, problem is that I can't seem to get the apps to work correctly without giving them admin rights which is heck to put politely, tried creating a global group and limiting the rights but doesn't seem to be good - today someone took my server down unknowingly and though citrix is polite and logs everyone out nicely it's a royal pain. My users have roaming profiles with citrix and domain working nicely now, I have a basic understanding of rights and permissions though citrix doesn't seem to work as I think it should, help please.

As far as Crystal goes.....

1. Locate the "Crystal" folder (usually .\winnt\crystal)
2. Change permissions on all files within this folder to "full control".
3. Copy these files to the "SYSTEM32" folder.

If that does not work please post some symptoms or error messages.

the error I get is all network licenses are in use, I've checked with tech support for the app. and they advise it should be fine for a citrix environment. All my licenses are in order for citrix,ts,etc.

Hi,

Try d/l'ing FileMon from SysInternals.com and get a user to run Crystal while you watch what is going on, then you will see what file/directory has insufficient priveledges.

If this doesn't work, try RegMon as it might be Registry related!

Hope this helps,
Carl.

Carl,
hi, thanks did try something similar yesterday with accpac which is using crystal also, there is a spydb utility, found the file was read only, tried to change to read-write which was what it was looking for when I changed back to admin rights but it didn't work, I'm thinking I have domain over citrix rights going on?? Will still try your suggestion thanks.
