I have an ocassional client that will start the Citrix connection and the connection just stops before logging in. There will be some sort of warning message a few days before it occurs.
I remember the solution to this is a registry edit on the client machine, but can't remember the registry key. I 'm not sure but I think there is a MS Knowledge bas articl onj it, but I was unable to find it.

I have ample licenses.

Any help will be appreciated.

Best regards

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSLicensing

Delete this key on the client, then reboot the client's machine and the key will be recreated.

Logon the the MetaFrame Server.

Thanks Patrick, I'll give that a try and let you know how it works out :)

Hi Patrick, came across this solution a while back......can you explain what actually causes this though? It's not a single client OS issue, seen it with Win9x/2K/XP.....just more than curious @ this stage :-)

Hi,

In my experience, the key is created but the local user normally doesn't have enough rights to either alter it or add a new key but if it doesn't exist, the user can create the new key and place it's license in there.

Alternatively, when creating images, as Admin I give the user enough rights on the MSLicensing key so this won't happen!

Hope this helps,
Carl.
