Citrix Metaframe server could not be contacted

Hi All,

We currently use Citrix to publish applications for our users. We are getting the error message Citrix Server could not be contacted when our users try and access their published applications. Yet I am logged onto the Citrix Server as the administrator inside the management console, does anybody have any idea whats going on. This does not happen all the time and some of our users are connected using their published apps while this happens to other users. This is totally random. Any ideas?

OK the fact that you are logged on to the CMC makes no difference here. The users cannot see the citrix server for whatever reason.

So Are these users on the LAN and what port is your XML service setup to use.
Also does your servers respond to ICA browsing requests ?
Right click server and look at metaframe properties.
I have seen this getting unticked for some unknown reason, Unless you have metaframe 1.8 or lower somewhere on your network ?
