Citrix local printing

I have setup a Metaframe XPs Citrix server with 1 publshed application. I have not been able to get the users to print from this published application to their local printers. I have read several docs on the web but this is not clear. What do I need to do to enable users to print to their local printers?

Any docs or links would be greatly appreciated.

Look in your Citrix management Console (CMC).
Look under printers, right click, and choose client printer. If it is not there then install the print driver on the server. Then it should be listed under printers in the CMC. I know that Citrix claim that you don´t have to, but sometimes the universal print driver is not universal ;-)

I dont know if you are still soliciting for more answers or not but....

I've found the best the way to accomplish this is to do the following steps on each client that wants to print "locally"...

Log on as local administrator on the client then access the Published app thru Citrix. NOTE: You should notice the printer show up on the Citrix server when logged on as admin in UNC format (\\client\printer).

Log back on as a domain user have them access the Published app then depending on the app they should see their printer appear on the drop down list.

NOTE: Step 1 will also work if another account has local admin rights - i.e., Domain Admins
