I have one citrix server on W2k with SP4. the citrix server is MetaFrame XPe SP1. the problem i am having is that there is a isolated location where they are unable to connect to one of the published apps. they can get to the Citrix web page but when they try to open the published app they get the error message. "Cannot Connect to the Citrix Server: The citrix server you have selected is not accepting connections" The weird part is other buildings and remote sites can log in fine. it's just the one site having difficulties. it's not a licensing issue, it hasn't reached the max capacity as far as users go. also i looked it up on citrix support and tried there fix and didn't work. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

is there a firewall between the clients on the remote site (where its not working) and the citrix servers?

Hi,

Have you put that location in configuration so that it doesn't use Alternate Addresses? When we add an additional site to our WAN, I've got to add it to config.txt. I use NFuse 1.7 so may be different in Web Interface!

Hope this helps,
Carl.

yes. there is a firewall between the sites. I believe it's a pix firewall and there admin over there says it's not there problem. but it's only isolated to them. how could i test it to make sure it's on their end.

Hi,

Get the admin person to check that TCP port 80 and TCP port 1494 are open.

You could telnet

C:\>telnet 10.10.10.10 1494

Direct to your Citrix server, as above, within your telnet session you should see ICA appear (with 2 pyramid type symbols prior), that would prove that his firewall was open.

Hope this helps,
Carl.

Ok. I telnetted to the website.
"telnet citrx.xxxx.net 1494" and it came back saying connection failed. so it looks like their firewall is blocking port 1494
