Hi i work for an office where we are planing to install Citrix Metaframe on a brand new w2k3 server. The only aplications we need to share for our off site users are "Mas90" which is an acounting sotware and "Goldmine" which is an email program like outlook. We have pop3 email so i know that it should be fine. Does anyone have any experience with either one of these programs and citrix? Also we have about 10 users which will be using remote access to this server. Anything i should watch out for? I have never dealt with citrix before and i could use some sugestions on classes or books to read. Thanks in advance!

I used to work for the company that makes Goldmine and you should have no problems in a Citrix environment. I also worked for another software which made a product that interfaced with the Mas90 software, again no problems should be found. The Mas90 product if pretty old, have you considered a Mas200 upgrade? If you plan on having 25-30kb available for each Citrix user, you should be fine.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the response! Curently we have adsl which i will be upgrading to sdsl (1.5mb down/765up) There will be about 10 users loged on via citrix at all times. I do not belive that we will have more ppl than that loged on at the same time. I think the bandwidth will be enough without haveing to go to a T1 line. What do you think?

That is plenty, no need to spend more for a T1 until you at least double the number of users you say you will have. For example, I have a WAN site with 256kb up/down with 8 users and have no problems. Doing various DB intensive applications as well as the standard MS Office apps and a GPS program.

Good Luck.
