Has anyone out there configured Citrix to run McKesson's HBOC? We are looking to implement this and have had little luck getting it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
These utilities may help you find out why the application is not working.
I couldn't find much information on this product, but on first glance it would appear to be a client/server type of application.
Presumably the back-end database is already set up and configured - if not, it needs to be on its own server.
The client portion may install via Add/Remove programs (or, better, after typing "change user /install" at the cmd prompt). Then configure the client at the console - but put the server back into execute mode before testing the login. At this point it should work like any other client.
Next, try logging in as a "normal" user via an ICA session (or even an RDP session). This is where Filemon and Regmon will help - look out for permissions issues and incorrectly copied registry keys. It's also possible that the application requires an ini (or other configuration) file. You may need to copy this from the administrator's profile to the Default User's profile.
That's about as much as I can realistically guess at - I hope it helps.
The biggest issue we are having is with MSE ports. Since they are assigned to a specific IP address, we can't load balance. And it is my understanding that each MSE port must have a unique IP address.
I am not very well versed in HBOC but I have been asked to get it running on Citrix. Also, we don't pay for the special McKesson Citrix support so they have been no help.
