My W2K domain controler has a process running called cisvc.exe and it is eating up 50% available CPU. I know it is some sort of Microsoft indexing process and I have read articles from people having similar problems to mine but no real solutions.
Is it safe to stop this process? Does it create any large logfiles and if so, where are they? Can I delete these also? Will the process start again when the DC is rebooted?

I woud be grateful for any information and help you can offer.
Thanks.
Penny
