Does anyone have a simple guide to configuring one of these to talk to an IPO?

I have 3rd party IP end point, sip auto create user/extn enabled but the think keeps refusing to register
even if I manually add a sip extn

I am pretty sure I must be missing something in the ATA configuration.

In the SIP extn/user settings, can't remember which

there isn't an sip user/extn. until after it has auto created - which is not happening.

Yeah, I never do that for SIP, don't trust it...with good reason it seems, as always monitor is good for seeing if it's even trying to connect

Monitor shows it trying to register but getting a 403 error.
also tried manual adding sip ext (with & without login code but still error 403)

403 is a login error.
The forced login must be set on the telephony -> supervisor settings.
I never use auto create because of these kind of issues.

I have installed some in the past but i just cannot find the configs and I really can't remember how it was done.
It did work but what I do remember is that the transfers did not work and it lost registration quite often so we replaced them for Patton M-ATA's and never heard the customer again. Maybe if I go down in the cellar and turn some boxes upside down then one of those crappy things may fall out....

Set Poxy IP Address
Set extn dumber as user ID.
