Hey all,

the company I work for is moving and I am planning the network design. We have 80 computers currently and room for a 180 total.

I currently am using Dell PowerConnect 3324x3, 3524x1 and a Linksys 24 port switch.

I am looking for a 10/100 manage switchs to replace my current switches. I dont have a need for Gigabit switches yet...

I dont have any requirements for these switches as I'm not doing much with mu current manages switch. However, I plan on changing that with the new hardware I get.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

Chipk is right.

3550 or 3560 (nice switches - bit expensive)

You could also go for Extreme summit 48si (also good switches that support OSPF).

The 3560 is a nice switch and you could deploy themn pretty much anywhere within an enterprise of your size.

But I feel for just basic user access into the network, they may be a bit of an overkill and thus I would recommend the cheaper Cisco Catalyst 2960's for terminating all your user connections.

Consider perhaps a 3560 to aggregate all your 2960 uplinks centrally (if required) and to perhaps to connect your servers etc.
