Cisco Switch Remote Management Tools - what would you recommend?

Does Cisco have tools for remote management of switches? Or does anyone have any tools that they would recommend for looking at switches?
I have no ideas of what is out there, however i would like to be able to disable ports on switches etc. with the tool.

What model of switches are they. We have 2950 switches and Cisco has a program called Cisco Network Assistant for managing them. See link below:

Depending on how many devices you have, a good free one is kiwi cat tools.

Cisco's own CiscoWorks LMS software is good if you have a large network environment (more than 50 switches), or they sell the CiscoWorks SNMS for less than 50 switches.

I was looking at the Cisco Network assistant, however I do not have any money to spend right now. I will have to get a copy of some freeware.
I downloaded Kiwicat and will try this out!
