Hello All,

First time for me not using the IPO as the DHCP server.

Does anyone know what option I should put in the cisco config to get the IP phones (9608) to connect to the call server via dhcp through the cisco?

Thank you.

Ok I think it is 242?

yip 16xx and 96xx phones use option 242

You should know, it's in every variation of the ACSS exam I have seen, but yes 242 and 176 for 56/46xx :-)

Lol! Yeah it took me a minute to remember :P

What I am also looking for is what parameter I would need to put for the secondary IPO server.

We have it set for one for primary and one for failover.

In case anyone runs into this. Our solution was DHCP helper option through Cisco (similar to dhcp relay) I believe this should prove sufficient.
