CISCO PIX FIREWALL

I have one server that does everything for the company, Mail, web and FTP. The server is running Windows2000 and I have a Cisco PIX firewall in place. I have opened port 21 on the firewall to allow FTP into server. I also opened the FTP-Data on the firewall.

I am able to sign onto the server but if I try to do a PUT, I receive a message stating 200 Port command successful and then 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection and that is it. The system just hangs there. I am using FTP from a command prompt.

Any suggestions??
If you can put all suggestions in layman terms that would be great since I am new to this.

What is the pix OS version?

Please post your current pix config - see the FAQ of this forum for tips about masking sensitive info.

Try with different FTP clients.

Read more about the "fixup" command of the pix - it should be enabled by default.
