Cisco Local Director

I dont know what forum a Local Director would fall under, but I am giving this a shot. We are using a local director for load balancing several webservers and database servers. The servers have multiple nics built in, but only ONE nic is being used. I want to TEAM the nics for failover, but i didnt know if they would cause some type of conflict with the Local Director. I wasnt sure, since the local director does the load balancing, that it would create some type of conflict if the servers also did some type of 'load balancing', but the nics would be set for failover.
