Hello All,

I have inherited the duties of our Call Manager Environment here and have a question or two if anyone can help. If I wanted to change the IP address of out Call Manager box what would I have to do on the phones themselves? I have found the entries on the router that need to be changed but I have noticed on the phones themselves that there is a setting that says Call Manager 1 and has the current IP Address of the CCM. However, even when it is unlocked you cannot change this setting. On Ciscos website it states that this setting needs to be configured on the CCM itself for each phone. After spending hours searching for the right place to update this, I am totally frustrated. Does anyone know where this setting may be changed on the CCM? Any help, insight, or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

You need to change it at the network card level, then you have to change it on the callmanager settings, depending on how you did it, you must do the server settings though, then the enterprise parameters, then any other services that connect via IP, instead of netbios..

You shoudl also update your lmhosts file, then adjust any SRST, MGCP, DHCP, ATA's, etc... So there are quite a few places to change the IP....

Buck,

Thank you for the info...I did the above as listed before I posted here..I did miss the enterprise paramterers and took care of that..what is happening though when I dial the extension of the IP Phone it seizes the call but then I get a quick busy signal...any ideas? Let me know what info you need from me to offer any insight..thank you.

i'd reboot all of your phones, and probably should bounce all of your Callmanager servers as well...
