Cisco 837 problem

Could someone please help me out with another Cisco 837 query:

My boss has just installed a Cisco 837 ADSL router to connect him to the internet at home. With the broadband package he subscribed to, he also got a static IP address.

He now wants to be able to connect to his home network while out on the road. Can someone please tell me in a step-by-step fashion how I can configure his router so that he can use the Cisco VPN Client software to connect into his home network?

My problem is that I don't know the IOS as yet!
