I have a Cisco 831 that only boots to ROMMON. When I look at the flash there is nothing loaded onto it. I tried to xmodem a new IOS to it, but it fails every time. Is there any way to set ROMMON back to the defaults, and upload a new IOS? I am new at this so please bear with me. Thanks!

Go to the following link and follow the instructions for disaster recovery. These commands must be typed in upper-case.
You will also need a TFTP server program. If you do not have one solar winds has a good free program.
