Cisco 2950 flash question

I erase the flash. So i used xmodem and copied a new file back(same version). I followed the steps from the cisco site on how to recover but it doesnt work.

I also ran the boot flash:imagefile.bin command, configred the switch and ran copy ru st.

When i reboot the switch it gets the error 'cant load .bin file no boot sequence variable set.

Do you have a boot statement in your config ?

Dont know how to check that. Most likely i havent in which case how do I edit the config to do that.
