Hi.
I'm trying to connect a Cisco 2950 switch to a Cisco 2940-8TF switch, but are not able to get the two to communicate properly.
The connection is via fiber and with GBIC-interfaces at both ends.
When I connetc the two switches, they discover each other via CDP. a "show cdp neighbor" on one switch shows the other switch in the list.
But ping etc does not succeed. Both IP-address and mask is sett correct.
I heard somewere that the 2940 doesn't support as many VLAN's as the 2950, can this stop them from communicating.
We have configured the same VLAN's on both switches.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
