Hi There,

I've connected a Definity R11 to a Cisco 2651 router using E1 interface. My question is about clocking. Before I ask my question, i'll explain the situation.

Part1:

The Definity DS1 is programmed as Network side and the Cisco as user.

Current settings in the cisco are:
network-clock-participate wic 1
network-clock-select 1 E1 0/1

Sh Controller E1 0/1 doesn't give any slips and is perfect.
Also list measurements ds1 log 01aXX is clean.

So far so good!

Part 2:
We have an ATM interface we use to connect to our T6000 softswitch. We use SIP through this Interface and that works fine too.

The only thing we experience is echo during th call. We use a 1:1 SDSL line so that can't be it.

Here's my theory:

The definity is expecting clock from Cisco and the other way round. Although it seems to work this is a mismatch in configs. ATM clock is provided through the line. E1 and ATM differ and that's why voice calls have echo.

I want to make to change the cisco clock to give clock to the definity and make sure the ATM clock sync's with the E1.

Can any one help me a bit.
